Fast Curing 60/40 Polyester Epoxy Resin for Hybrid Powder Coatings

 

 

Introduction

 

HH2681 is a saturated polyester resin mainly applied to polyester/epoxy powder coatings. It features fast curing, excellent mechanical properties, and good storage stability.

Polyester/epoxy powder coatings are a kind of thermosetting powder coating. It is prepared by using epoxy resin and polyester resin as the main raw materials and has their own unique properties so that the produced coating film has excellent leveling, decorative, mechanical properties, and strong corrosion-resistance, widely used in the coating of various indoor metal products.

Conventional polyester/epoxy powder coatings generally need to be baked at 180℃ or 200℃ for 15 to 20 minutes to fully cure, while powder coatings prepared with HH2681 and 40% epoxy resin only need 10 minutes of baking time at 180℃ to fully cure, reducing curing time and saving energy.
